Profile Evaluation

  • Are you not sure of how strong your application is?
  • Are you not sure how an admissions committee will view your strengths and weaknesses?
  • Do you want to get a better sense of whether you have a chance to get into a certain school or program?
  • Do you want to know how admissions officers will assess all aspects of your application?
  • Do you want to get specific actionable advice on how to proceed in your college search and the application process?
  • Do you want to consult with an admissions expert on your unique case without having to commit to a full engagement or wait for an Application Workshop?

If any or some or all of these questions apply to you then you should sign up for an Profile Evaluation with Ivy Plus. With an Profile Evaluation you will get all of the above and more. You will work with an Ivy Plus admissions expert and receive a full evaluation and minimum 2 hour meeting (this could be in person or over the phone). After signing up you will be asked to provide all application materials, including some materials that Ivy Plus will send you to fill out, prior to the evaluation meeting. You will be asked further questions about your background, interests, goals, etc., at the evaluation meeting. At the end of the meeting you will be given your full evaluation, including:

  • Assessment of your entire application including academic, extracurricular and personal history (strengths, themes, hooks, weaknesses, gaps, inconsistencies, risks, areas requiring further explanation and/or work or other red flags)
  • Assessment of your chances of admission at your targeted schools (if you have any)
  • Specific actionable guidance on what you can do to improve your application and chances of admissions success, including how to address each area of your application
  • Discussion of solutions to special circumstances and/or personal issues which have affected academic performance or personal history
  • Guidance on college or graduate school selection
  • Identification of your passions and interests and a discussion of how to show them or develop them from the perspective of an admissions committee
  • Guidance on an overall application strategy
  • Expert tips on the application itself, including essays, letters of recommendation, supplementary letters or materials, those short tricky narratives on the Common Application and other college and grad school application, etc.
  • Specific suggestions on potential essay topics

The sooner you get an Profile Evaluation the more time you will have to work on some of the weaknesses in your application, on getting more experience, on building on your strengths, etc. Please contact us to get started on your Initial Evaluation today.
